Great site! Nice bucket list, and an impressive number of things checked off! But I have to admit that I’m kind of laughing at some of the things that you have crossed off and not – you’ve ridden in a helicopter, a rickshaw, and a tuk tuk, but not in a limousine? You’ve ridden in a hot air balloon, but not on a jet ski? You definitely don’t start small! I love that!

LOL, as I was putting the list together for the site, I thought the same thing…I haven’t ridden in a limo yet?! Well, we will just have to rectify that…and soonest! ?

Your bucket list made me smile and have chills all at the same time. As I was reading, it took me back to different times in my life. I also read different goals I have for myself that I have only disclosed with one person. I look forward to those goals aka “bucket list” items I have for myself. Thank you for sharing because it is nice to see someone check off their list. Bealiveandfree- 🙂

I love your bucket list! I consider myself to be an adventurous person and have done a lot in my 30+ years on this earth. But there’s so much more I want to do/experience before I die. I have a mental list in my head, but keeping a log to track your adventures is an excellent idea. Plus, it helps to reflect on all that you’ve accomplished–and have gratitude for that.

    • Sonjia Mackey
Posted at 06:45h, 24 December Reply

Yes, when I look back over my Bucket List in totality, I’m often amazed at the things I’ve seen & done to-date. And for that, much gratitude is definitely in order! 🙂 A small tip for you, I cross-reference my “Bucket List” with my separate “Travel Destination List.” The Travel List is an in-depth list of all the places I want to visit, and whenever I come across good suggestions in the media regarding a particular location (like a unique hotel to stay in, the best local restaurant at which to eat, etc.), I note it under that place, along with the applicable Bucket List items. For example, I know that whenever I make my 1st visit to South Africa, I want to see Table Mountain, Sun City, the Palace of the Lost City, Lion’s Head Mountain, etc., but I also want to swim with the penguin’s at Boulder’s Beach and do a great-white shark dive in Gansbaai. When you do it this way, it really helps ensure that you maximize your travel time in a particular location, & that you don’t miss a single opportunity to cross something off your Bucket List! ?

LOL, I’ve had Type-A personalities say they felt like slackers after looking at my bucket list! Stay motivated my friend…for pushing the boundaries, pursuing our dreams, and doing the things people say we can’t or shouldn’t do or even the things we didn’t think we had it in us to do are what make life truly grand and worth living!

  • Yusef Wateef
Posted at 07:36h, 28 August Reply

I like what I see, this is an ambitious list indeed! Just remember, we need to add things to our lists as quickly as we cross others off. You’ve inspired me to add a “Tour Of The World’s Best Spas” to my bucket list. After spending years in the gym and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I prefer brutal, deep-tissue massages that walk a fine line between therapeutic massage and consensual assault. Do you have any recommendations for me on where to get that in Beijing or Shanghai, China?

    • Sonjia Mackey
Posted at 06:22h, 24 December Reply

Brutal? Assault? I have to say, those are terms I never associated with a massage before, at least not one “I” was interested in! LOL. I think you’ll find Chinese massages lacking a bit. If you ask a Chinese person where the best ones are, they will direct you to hotel spas, which are more expensive. If you ask for a local spa, they’ll be cheaper for sure, but may or may not be as good as the hotel spas. In either case, I don’t think you’ll find the ‘brutal assault’-type of massage you’re looking for. However, once you move there, get settled in, and start to make local friends, I would certainly inquire about it. You may find exactly what you’re looking for…good luck!

If you’re as intent on living out your bucket list as I am, Dave…you will! ?

Hey Shandenia! Girl, my bucket list is like a baby. I nurture it, and care for it, and love it to death! LOL ? Lots of momentum building about the mystery trip & lots of ideas on where I will end up. I think I’m in for one heck of an adventure! ?

Reading this site, this bucket list, and your perspective literally brought tears to my eyes. This is so important; thank you for sharing. I really don’t know how to get started – I’m 27. When did you start and what advice do you have for getting as much done within a 24-hour day as you can? Especially when work/career is very demanding.

Hi Lae. I know exactly where you’re coming from – sometimes, it seems work & career demands get in the way of creating that life you love. I have your email address from your post – I will email you separately & we can converse more via that medium. 🙂

Just found this site, and this page is without a doubt my daily inspiration. Some of these quotes and places I had heard of before, but others are brand new to me, and they now have me motivated to save more money for my big trip next year. And I will be following along with your bucket list progress, too!

Hi Cindy! I must admit, I have been slightly remiss in blogging & updating my site, BUT, that’s only because I’m working on a total site revamp where I hope to inspire & motivate people more than ever! ? My plan is to launch the new site before the end of this month (April)…before I take 5 ladies with me on a “mystery” trip (I know where they’re going, but they don’t know where they’re going)! ? So stay tuned & thank you for visiting my site!

Your lists are awesome!!! I have a million things in my head that I want to do, but putting them in a list would probably be a better way to hold myself accountable. I chuckled because I’ve actually driven an 18 wheeler. LOL And I’m based in Florida so when you are ready to conquer the manatees I can definitely point you in the right direction. I’ll be doing that this month.
